Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas

Our stay at Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas was amazing and exactly what we needed. The ocean views are stunning, and the whole property feels calm, modern, and thoughtfully designed. We loved that they offer complimentary electric bikes and surfboards, making it easy to enjoy the beach and explore the area. The pool, infinity hot tub, and outdoor sauna overlook the ocean and are perfect for relaxing, especially around sunset. There’s also a nice indoor gym, direct beach access, and valet parking that makes everything feel effortless. The staff were friendly and attentive, and overall the experience felt luxurious; a perfect spot for a relaxing coastal getaway.

Stunning property. I had an amazing stay. Breakfast was delicious. Please do try their spa. It is such a soothing experience inside. Very relaxing. Valet & elevators, everything was lightning fast. Incredible staff.

An understated luxury hotel with a focus on wellness - perfect for couples looking for some relaxation. Booked with FHR and got upgraded to a room with firepit and it made our stay feel extra special. Best thing there is the sauna / cold plunge and jacuzzi with ocean view. The restaurant Vaga is excellent. Room service breakfast is also very good. Beach is all rocks and not really swimmable but very peaceful. The only parking option is valet and $60.

We stayed at Alila Marea Encinitas for our babymoon and it exceeded every expectation. We absolutely loved our room—beautifully designed, peaceful, and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. We truly rested and relaxed, which is exactly what we were hoping for. The heated pool during our stay was amazing and made lounging outside even better, especially with the ocean views. Every detail of the property felt thoughtful and luxurious without being over the top. We also want to give a special shoutout to Milad, our valet driver and bellman. He was incredibly professional, always greeting us with a genuine smile and positive attitude. He consistently opened our car doors, escorted my wife and me into the property, and made us feel so well taken care of. To top it off, he even brought us chairs and towels down to the beach for sunset, which made the experience unforgettable. Thank you to the entire Alila Marea team for making our babymoon so special. We can’t wait to come back.

Stayed at Alila Marea as part of working through Hyatt Brand Explorer and using a free Cat 1–7 night. The location is incredible! Right off PCH with Carlsbad State Beach just steps away. No upgrades were available, but I was given Room 349 with a lagoon view and a bit of ocean. Standard checkout is 11 AM and couldn’t be extended even as a Globalist. Valet only at $60 a night. Beautiful property and a great stop on my Brand Explorer path. Now I’m off to the Andaz San Diego for the next one.

Stayed in a pool/ocean view room, best room yet! Slept with the door open, listening to the waves crash. Used all the amenities the hotel has to offer but one person stood out, Kiana at Vaga was exceptional! She has helped us in the past, remembered us and again gave us great service! See you soon!

Beautiful hotel overlooking the coastline and beach. The pool and outdoor fire pits are small, but weren't crowded while we stayed. Angel, the valet/bell man was the shining star of the staff. He was warm, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Definitely an asset. Bethany (in room dining team) was also the picture of hospitality. Sometimes other staff felt ... snooty. Never rude at all, but just a little too aloof. The room was beautiful, with an ocean view and balcony that would tempt me outside even on the foggiest morning. Overall, a lovely hotel and stunning environment. I'd love to stay again.

Awesome Hotel. Very well appointed very well done. Great experience overall, just headed to deduct a star because unfortunately when we tried to nap with the windows. Open to hear the ocean. All you could hear is the highway and you can't even hear the ocean. The food is great also. Very well decorated. Spa was completely booked so he didn't get to enjoy it. The pool area and the hot tub is awesome. They do have a sauna and a cold plunge which is definitely a plus. Aside from the noise from the road, I would definitely give this place five stars. We had asked for a different room closer to the ocean but they said they didn't have anything available, so unfortunately I was stuck listening to traffic all day when I wanted to sit outside.
